Tony Albert: Not a Souvenir is a powerful new major exhibition by one of the most fearless and influential voices in Australian contemporary art.
The exhibition brings together two decades of work by Tony Albert (Girramay, Kuku Yalanji and Yidindji peoples) across sculpture, photography, installation, painting, and assemblage alongside major new commissions.
Driven by humour, energy and provocation, Not a Souvenir reclaims popular images of Aboriginal Australia, turning objects of prejudice into symbols of resistance, resilience and pride.
