Bastille Festival returns to Circular Quay and The Rocks from 16–19 July 2026, bringing four vibrant winter days of French food, wine, music and culture to the harbour’s edge and it’s completely free to attend. Now in its 13th year, the festival continues to grow, expanding its footprint and inviting Sydneysiders to experience a lively tour de France across some of the city’s most iconic streets.
From molten raclette and classic crêpes to champagne, oysters and regional French wines, the festival serves up a rich culinary journey alongside refined winter drinks, busy wine bars and over 130 food exhibitors. Across the precinct, cabaret, street performances, live music, roaming characters and open‑air cinema bring French energy to the cobblestones, day and night.
With more than 110 free performances, a new French‑inspired flea market and music flowing through the laneways and foreshore, Bastille Festival transforms The Rocks into a place to wander, taste and linger. Whether you’re a devoted Francophile or simply chasing great atmosphere, it’s a celebration of flavour, culture and connection - winter, the French way, by the harbour.
