John Wardle Architects Structure at the NGV International
A beautiful structure was unveiled at the NGV International last week, right in time for Spring and Summer! The structure by John Wardle Architects is part of the Summer Architecture Commissions which is a new initiative by the Department of Contemporary Design & Architecture, offering opportunities to emerging and established architects to present their designs to a broader audience at the NGV International.
We were invited at the unveiling of this beautiful structure which was inspired by the Sidney Myer Music Bowl here in Melbourne.
The nine metre-high pink pavilion will be perfect for hosting kids' activities, picnics, live music, performances, workshops and more! It is perfect for relaxing after a great day of visiting the NGV International and NGV Fed Square. Grab a coffee and a snack from the NGV café or bring your own and the little ones can run around the garden and climb on the popular children's climbing structure nearby.
I can see little Miss and I relaxing here this summer taking in all the beautiful colours of the structure!
Checkout these great kid friendly exhibitions currently at the NGV International and NGV Fed Square when you visit the John Wardle structure. Both sites will be open daily from 10am to 5pm from Monday 5th October.
The John Wardle Architects structure is located on the ground level of the NGV International in the Grollo Equiset Garden, it will stand until May 2016. For more info, jump on the NGV's website.
