LightTime at Melbourne Scienceworks - Info & Giveaway
LightTime at Scienceworks is set to open these Winter School Holidays - perfect timing! Visitors of all ages can see a collective of 11 Melbourne based artists who have created hypnotic and mesmerising work to engage the senses through light, sound and optics.
Kids can be immersed in a space where lasers project holographic effects to an evolving original soundtrack; enter a room of LED screens that create a spectacle to confound and entrance; and lie beneath an ultraviolet garden of floral meditation.
The result is a visually stunning exhibition that will inspire people of all ages to consider the science behind how light, sound and optics impact our senses. Children will have the opportunity to paint with light, meditate under a bloom of iridescent mechanical flowers and see how space, light and shadows can be viewed via new perspectives through the use of mirrors, screens and projections.
