Make your Mark - Museum of Sydney - Review

Make your Mark at the Museum of Sydney these holidays! After the rollercoaster that was 2020, visitors are invited to ‘make their mark’ on any surface they can colour away in the dedicated gallery - no limits. Visitors are encouraged to share their drawings, poems, hopes, dreams, thoughts and aspirations for the future without limits.

Three Sydney based artists Georgia Draws A House, Digby Webster and Gumaroy Newman started the exhibition with great murals and informal street art and bold poetry. The kids and I just decided our colourful drawings to express hope were essential for the mural ha!

The kids felt strange drawing on walls at first but after I explained to them that they could express themselves however they wanted, they were liberated and really enjoyed this activity and may have left with chalk all over their clothes but it was a nice feeling to draw, write and colour away on this blank canvas.
