Dinosaur Valley at Scenic World - Blue Mountains - Review
A few weeks ago, we headed to the Blue Mountains to checkout Dinosaur Valley at Scenic World. It was a special experience which the kids really enjoyed and the rain did not stop us from enjoying it, in fact it changed it into a special expedition. It is a must do these holidays if your little ones love Dinosaurs. Due to popular demand, Dinosaur Valley has now been extended to Sunday 28th of February 2021! Make sure you book online before you go as due to covid restrictions, spots are limited.
Upon meeting our Dino Ranger Sonia, she introduced us to a baby dinosaur which was super cute! Dino Ranger Sonia also gave us a Dinosaur Valley Junior Ranger Trail Guide to fill in as we went on our adventure as little Mister would say.
We then descended to the Dinosaur Valley via the Scenic Cableway with special music people will recognise. It was raining a little when we started the adventure but the canopy of the rainforest stopped most of the rain once we were in the valley.
The view of the Three Sisters from the Scenic Cableway is just gorgeous and we cannot tire of it even after visiting the Blue Mountains back in October.
When we arrived at the Dinosaur Valley, we were shown around the prehistoric site and Dino Ranger Sonia was a wealth of dinosaur knowledge as we went along.
We then saw some of the twenty life-size roaring animatronic dinosaurs hidden around Dinosaur Valley. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the different dinosaurs. Some kids in our group knew all the types of dinosaurs and their names especially the Australian dinosaurs - well done kids!
Set amongst the beautiful Blue Mountains rainforest, this was a very special experience for the kids and adults learned a few things or too about dinosaurs along the way, I know I did, very interesting!
We also visited the Dinosaur Rangers’ house along the way and spotted more dinosaurs in the area too.
We finished our visit going up the steps to the Scenic Railway. Last October, we did the Scenic Railway going down the hill. This time with this special dino tour, we did it backwards back up the hill, they don’t call it the World’s Steepest Railway for nothing! Set your chair to the steep level you like, pack any loose items and hold on all the way up!
Before you leave, don’t miss the dinosaurs inside the gift shop and café and have a look at the view onto the beautiful Blue Mountains next to the café, it’s just gorgeous! And of course grab a pic with the amazing T-Rex at the front!
We had a great morning amongst nature and fresh air. We highly recommend the experience for your little dinosaur lovers!
