Nintendo Tokyo Store - Shibuya PARCO Store - Review

The Nintendo Tokyo Store is located in the popular area of Shibuya in Tokyo within the Shibuya PARCO Store on level 6. We visited this store back in July 2023 during our first trip to Japan.

At the time of our visit, Pikmin 4 game was just released hence the Pikmin related merchandise instore.

We particularly loved the variety of Animal Crossing merchandise available in this store - one of our fav games!

There was also various Mario related merchandise as well as Kirby merchandise.

Looking at the Nintendo Tokyo store website when creating this article, we noticed there’s a cute photo opportunity in front of retro Mario (similar to the Nintendo Osaka store). This is located outside on the terrace of the store.

Our Tips:

  • The Nintendo Tokyo Store is located within the Shibuya PARCO Store. Shibuya PARCO 6th Floor, 15-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8377.

  • Transport options to get there (info from their website):
    -
    5 minutes walk from Shibuya Station
    -JR Yamanote Line, Saikyo Line, Tokyu Toyoko Line, Denentoshi Line, Keio Inokashira Line, Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line, Fukutoshin Line

  • The store is open every day 10:00 - 21:00 and entry is FREE.

  • If you plan on buying lots of Nintendo gear, you can get points if you use your Nintendo account as well as special gifts on some purchases (see staff for details).

  • Most Nintendo stores are now NOT Tax Free since some tax changes, however you can claim taxes in Tax Free areas or online now with new system.

  • There are quite a few food places and shops in the Shibuya PARCO store.

  • Note from their website regarding busy periods: For the time being, on days when congestion is expected, such as Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, numbered tickets will be used to enter the store. Tickets will be distributed on the 1st floor of Shibuya PARCO before the store opens, and in front of the Mario statue at the 6th floor exterior staircase entrance after the store opens. Only one numbered ticket will be distributed per person. Thank you for your understanding.
