Inspired by the unique design genius of architect Jørn Utzon and the Sydney Opera House, get creative through a series of fun and playful design exercises for beginners or design lovers, whilst learning about the architectural history of the Sydney Opera House.
Utzon in Motion is a workshop exploring the Sydney Opera House’s very special Utzon Room, and the spectacular tapestry by Jørn Utzon which hangs there and was inspired by a musical piece by Bach. The workshop includes a tour to the Utzon Room, and a close-up look at the tapestry which embodies rhythm and time. Back in the Centre for Creativity participants will listen to Bach & using a historic photograph of Utzon create new sculptural forms and models using the colours found in Utzon's palette.
