Aussie Animal Alive Show

Come say g’day to Yadu, the Southern Hairy-nosed wombat joey, who just turned one! You can find him and his mum at Backyard to Bush, where he’s busy mastering the art of digging, log-tumbling, and snack-sniffing. While you’re there, don’t miss another new arrival, Simon, the three-month-old Australian White Sheep. And don’t forget about Lololi, the eight-month-old Pygmy Hippo—currently weighing a healthy 60kg and gaining a steady 1.5kg each week, so be sure to visit her while she’s still little!

Meet 'Lololi' (pronounced Lol-ol-i), named by zoo staff after a West African term meaning "there is always love." This not-so-little calf is thriving at a healthy 60 kg and gaining about 1.5 kg every week. Lololi is Australia’s ONLY Pygmy Hippo Calf.

Looking to extend your Taronga experience? Prepare for a wild night with the return of Taronga’s beloved Roar and Snore! Book a stay in safari-style tents, surrounded by the sounds of the wild and stunning harbour views.

If you’re after a unique date night, bookings are now open for the Adults Only Wine Safari, kicking off on Wednesday, November 6th. Enjoy roaming wine tastings in the heart of the zoo, featuring one of the best sunset spots in Sydney alongside delectable bites. For more information and bookings, visit: Taronga Wine Safari.

Extend the adventure by staying at the eco-friendly Wildlife Retreat, where kangaroos and Koalas might just be your next-door neighbours! Join the Enrichment Engineers program for little ones (ages 4-10) and let them help prepare breakfast and enrichment items for the animals, offering a behind-the-scenes peek into daily zoo life. Additionally, with the introduction of a brand-new spring menu at Me-Gal, Taronga’s onsite dining restaurant nestled in beautiful native bushland, there’s no better time to book a special lunch or dinner for that someone special.

Come for the wildlife, stay for the views, and leave with memories that will last a lifetime!

Whether you visit for a day or opt for an annual Zoo Friends pass offering 365 days of fun, your support directly impacts wildlife conservation.
