Preview showing of a new bilingual Pansori
This Pansori bilingual preview showing tells the story of a white rhinoceros and a young penguin embarking on a journey through the night in search of their own lives, based on the award-winning novel 'The Longest Night'.
Pansori is a traditional Korean genre that combines musical storytelling, performed by a singer (sorikkun) and accompanied by a drummer (gosu). Known for its dynamic vocal style and rhythmic intensity, pansori conveys deep emotions and narrative through both music and drama.
Join the creative team of IPKOASON and local Australian artists for this special preview showing of their new bilingual Pansori The Longest Night.
Creative Development? What to expect…
Devised theatre is a method of creating a performance that works completely collaboratively with all artists in a rehearsal room. People attending this event will be involved in a rare experience seeing an excerpt of a devised work while the artists are mid-process of creation.
