Clontarf Reserve Playground - Sydney - Review
The Clontarf Reserve playground and beach are located off Sandy Bay Road in Clontarf on the Sydney Northern Beaches. It is a great spot for families with areas for a picnic or bbq, it has a small fenced off area for little swimmers and a great size playground, cafés and public toilets and outdoor showers.

If you haven't been before, make sure you introduce your child to the swimming area so that they are familiar with how deep or shallow it is as the sand part of the small netted area does dip a bit so some kids might lose their feet a bit. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off and nearby public toilets.

The playground is situated on Clontarf beach and is great for kids of all ages. It has several sets swings and a large bucket swing well positioned away from the rest of the playground as well as a long caterpillar type swing. There are lots of spots to sit down under the shade as the nice trees and shading clothes also provide shade.

There is a café onsite with some reasonably priced food, coffee and ice cream if you don't manage to pack anything for snacks or lunch. There are also council operated toilets onsite too. Parking is free for several hours if you are a Northern Beaches (NB) Council resident however up to $40+ a day if you are not a NB Council resident.
The playground is semi fenced as such best watch the kids around the beach area water and all and nearby car park as the parking is right next to the playground. Get there early to secure a park especially in Summer as it is a very popular spot for families due to easy parking access etc and busy as people tend to spend the whole day there.
