Jurassic World by Brickman® - Review - Melbourne
Visit Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught’s latest blockbuster exhibition ‘Jurassic World’ and experience the largest LEGO® brick experience in Australian history. With over 50 large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made from over 6 million LEGO® bricks, kids will be in awe at the builds throughout the exhibition which took 10,000 build hours over 2 years to design & build and used 6 million LEGO® bricks!
Kate and her Lego fans headed to Jurassic World last week and had a surreal time looking at all the builds and building themselves Jurassic World inspired builds just like on Lego Masters! Due to lockdown restrictions, Jurassic World reopened on Friday 5th Nov and will be open until end Jan 2022. Bookings essential.
After begin their journey by walking through the iconic 4-metre-tall Jurassic World gates, Kate’s duo experienced the Isla Nublar island where Jurassic World is based. There kids and adults can look around the Control Room and build away on island platforms. There’s also small builds to look at representing some of the island’s transport and infrastructure.
Prior to heading to the Baby Dinosaur section, Kate’s kids enjoyed looking around the Science Lab at the small build dinosaurs, insects stuck in amber ready for DNA extraction, just like in the movie! They also took part in contributing their dino builds to the large mosaic.
Under the giant Brachiosaurus weighing well over 1.8 tonnes, baby dinosaurs await to be seen and patted. Kate’s little ones were amazed on how real-life like these little dinosaurs and the dino eggs looked.
There’s also a Lego Duplo build in the Baby Dinosaurs area which younger kids will enjoy building away.
The next room is another Control Room where dinosaurs are tracked throughout the island. Kate’s little ones really loved building away in this room. Kids can build a range of dinosaur footprints onto a Lego plate and once complete can contribute their footprint for the day’s wall.
Kids are then faced with Velociraptors Blue and Delta, they can run away and hide or have fun with them taking photos next to them and admire the builds up close.
The last room is perfect for those cool photos with the famous Jurassic Park Wrangler Jeep chased by the giant T-Rex which up close is one hell of an impressive build the jaw and the head alone are a colossal amount of bricks for this 1 tonne dinosaur! Some really impressive build right there!
Kate and her children really enjoyed Jurassic World by Brickman® and took their time looking at all the amazing builds throughout the exhibition as well as enjoyed building their own Jurassic World builds across the exhibition. Jurassic Park and Dinosaur Lovers as well as Lego lovers will really enjoy this exhibition with over 50 large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and with 2.5 million bricks to play with, kids will be happy building away!
