Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® City Sydney Tower Eye - Sydney - Review
Last weekend, we headed to the Sydney Tower Eye to checkout the Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® City exhibition. The Sydney Tower Eye is celebrating 40 years and this exhibition is perfect for the celebrations! The exhibition covers life and buildings from the five of the world’s great cities of Dubai, London, New York, Tokyo and Sydney from 1000AD to today.
Kids will be admiring over 20 models created from over 600,000 LEGO® bricks with 8 never-seen in Sydney giant skyscrapers! With so much detail and perfection in each model, you will spend some time looking at all the intricate parts.
There’s also a cute ‘Brickman Firefighters Hunt’ competition that you can take part by looking for 2 specific firefighters figurines amongst the models. Figure out the number of firefighters and you could win an awesome Lego prize! It certainly entertained little Miss and her brother while they admired at the models.
The detail in the models is truly amazing, little Miss loved the Lego Vidiyo characters featured, while her brother loved the Ninjas and monkeys in the Tokyo model and us parents loved the cherry blossoms.
We also enjoyed looking at a 3m x 4m scale model of Lower Manhattan, built entirely in white LEGO® pieces. Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught and the creative team spent a further 250 hours developing sophisticated 3D projections to bring the hero city of New York to life which is shown on a video.
Due to recent Sydney covid restrictions, Sydney Tower Eye had to remove Lego building as part of the exhibition which was upsetting for our little builders however visitors can purchase a build and take home their very own mini LEGO City Helicopter as part of a 'Make & Take' experience for an additional $5.50 or purchase Lego packs at the Sydney Tower Eye store for store price or receive a discount with their Merlin Annual Pass.
We enjoyed the exclusive LEGO® 4D Movie (here shown without 4D glasses hence the blur). The LEGO® 4D Movie was very funny and little Miss and her brother thoroughly enjoyed it with some cool special effects and smells to make it even better.
After the exhibition, we went up to the top of the Observation Deck of the Sydney Tower Eye to look at the amazing view!
The kids really enjoyed the exhibition, the 4D Lego Movie and exploring the city from up high and they couldn’t wait to build their own build when we got home!
Busy City Kids were hosted by Sydney Tower Eye for the purposes of a review. Travel & parking was self funded. All opinions & feedback are genuine & truthful.
