The Osmo Math Wizard curriculum-based learning games keep getting better! We loved reviewing the Magical Workshop, the Secrets of the Dragons and the Enchanted World Games and Amazing Airships. We were particularly excited when we saw Fantastic Food Truck was coming out!

My kids love anything to do with food so this was an easy win and they picked up the game very quickly and really enjoyed playing the different parts of the game! Great for kids aged 6 to 8 years old.

Osmo Math Wizard and the Fantastic Food Truck is incorporated in the Osmo Math Wizard app which can be downloaded and comes with a special case with 1 x Playmat, 1 x Food Truck Manual, 34 x Geometric Tiles and 1 x Storage Container.

Osmo Math Wizard - Fantastic Food Truck is all about building on children’s maths skills and this particular Maths Wizard game focuses on Geometry. Kids join Chef Reina and her assistant Betty in their new food truck business. They are asked to help out in the kitchen and create ingredients with the geometric shapes provided in the storage container and in turn prepare meals for hungry customers.

Kids create ingredients by joining geometric shapes together in the early stages of the game to get practice. It’s then time to take customers orders and create meals.

Kids choose the ingredients to their meal, in this case a burger and once the ingredients are chosen, they add geometric shapes together to create the ingredients.

To create a slice of tomato they need four equal geometric shapes etc. until the meal is complete. Customers then rate the meal and points are awarded.

As the player prepares and cooks for more customers, builds become more complex and trickier using different pieces, they can make pizzas, burgers, pies etc.

As more customers are happy with their meals, the player receives happy points and unlocks kitchen tools as well as cool sauces such as chilli, electric sauce and others which the customers find interesting as well as extra ingredients etc. As the game continues, the meal prepping game becomes even harder and players can use frying pans, cutting boards, knifes etc. Kids will have fun cutting, blending, frying, glazing, sprinkling and combining ingredients in many ways to make the perfect meal for their customers!

The more customers are served and satisfied with their meals, the more special ingredients, smiles and the more points. As things improve so does that the kitchen and the more fun the player has with different things like using special sprinkler for the ice cream that little Miss loved using. The player also gets special rewards such as a magic rewards chest with daily crystals which can be traded for special things.

One of the special things that a player can trade for are magical pets in the pet shop. You get to select the pet to summon and then guide it treats and play with it for fun on the side.

At the end of the day, it is a great feeling to help Chef Reina and her assistant Betty as their Fantastic Food Truck serves more and more customers and improves in every way shape and form to keep everyone happy! Kids will love this game and I might have a go too to improve my cooking skills so I can upgrade to something else than meals with mince meat perfection as my husband would say hah!
